Paragliding World Cup France, Gourdon, 2024 - daily report : Task 2
Aug 27 2024
The conditions for Task 2 were a complete contrast from the previous day. Instead of a survival game, the day turned into a classic full-speed ridge race. With ideal conditions, the 100 km course was flown at a much faster pace, and the majority of pilots made it to goal within around 2 hours and 40 minutes of racing.
The race was dominated by Michel Cervellin, who took first place. Close behind him was Luc Armant, who not only secured second place but also claimed the overall lead in the competition. The day’s fast conditions brought out aggressive flying and tight competition, setting the stage for more high-speed battles in the days to come.
