Governador Valadares delivers again.

The final day of the competition was forecasted to have some of the best conditions of the week. The task committee called for a task of 73.33 km and a start time of 12:45 to allow conditions time to reach their peak. The task took pilots across the river to the northeast and then a zigzag path over the Sao Vitor area before returning back to the Ibituruna peak. The goal closest to the city once again gave spectators a view of the dramatic finish.
The back and forth between concentric circles gave the pilots lots of options of where to tag the waypoints, which served to spread the field out as pilots chose different routes. The final legs of the task spread the field even further with some pilot’s choice of route requiring them to search harder than others for the lift needed to cross the goal line.
53 pilots made goal, with an additional 4 making the end-of-speed but not being able to reach goal. Justin Puthod of France won the day with a time of 1:44:01 and an average speed of 38.83km/h. The winning female was Marcella Uchoa, arriving just one minute and 31 seconds later, and the winning team was Niviuk 1.
Baptiste Lambert‘s third place finish for task 7 was good enough to secure his spot atop the overall podium and Violeta Jimenez‘s solid finish in task 7 solidified her win in the Women’s category. The team podium was tight going into the final day but Niviuk 2 prevailed, having been the most consistent team of the week.
This competition provided a fantastic end to the 2025 PWC regular season and locks in the final competitors that will be selected for the PWC Superfinal in Spain, just 2 weeks from now.
