After several days with high cloudbases, Task 5 in Aksaray brought lower conditions and blue skies with no clouds to mark the way. Pilots had to rely purely on reading the terrain and each other, turning the day into a highly tactical race.

The course took them over wide desert areas, where every decision mattered. At times it felt like the whole field was holding its breath, especially as they approached goal. Several pilots arrived very low and had to find climbs even inside the End of Speed Section to stay in the game.

In the end, it was Gleb Sukhotskiy who mastered the conditions best, securing the win on this demanding and strategic day in Aksaray. Sergio Sampaio has the overall lead, heading into the final task as the man everyone has to beat.
