Kruševo, Macedonia – July 23, 2025

After two wind-blown days of waiting and watching weather forecasts, conditions finally aligned for Task 2 of the Paragliding World Cup in Krushevo. Lighter winds meant pilots could head to the official takeoff for the first time this week—an eagerly awaited moment for everyone on site.

The skies filled quickly as all pilots launched successfully before the start gate opened. Initial forecasts had predicted relatively stable, perhaps challenging, flying conditions. But once airborne, it became clear the day had more to offer than expected.

It was much better than we thought,” said Constance Mettetal, who emerged as the day’s female task winner. “We were expecting it to be stable and slow, but it turned out much better.

The 94-kilometer task tested pilots across varying terrain and transitions, ultimately culminating in a memorable result. Marcos Sancho Fernández clinched his first-ever PWC task win, marking a major milestone in his career and bringing fresh energy to the overall competition.

With blue skies, scenic Macedonian landscapes, and tight competition across the field, Task 2 finally gave pilots and spectators the action they had been waiting for. Spirits are high, and anticipation builds as the forecast promises more flyable days ahead.

Stay tuned as the race for the podium heats up in Krushevo.
