Paragliding World Cup Italy, Feltre 2025 – 40th Guarnieri International Trophy – daily report: Day 1, Task 1

The Paragliding World Cup has officially kicked off in Feltre, Italy, and the stunning Dolomitic backdrop delivered right from the beginning.

The first task was an 82 km optimized race, weaving back and forth – a course that tested both speed and strategy.

The conditions were strong, and many pilots crossing the goal described the day as fast and physical. Seb Ospina claimed the task win in spectacular fashion, coming in extremely low and just managing to glide over the goal line, earning the top score at the finish.

In the women’s category, Sarah Zimmermann soared to the win, clearly at home in the powerful air.

“That’s the kind of conditions that I like,” she said with a smile.

With Task 1 setting a strong tone for the days to come, pilots are looking forward to what the majestic mountains of Feltre have in store next —Italy is off to a flying start.
