Monroe, Utah to Host 2024 Paragliding World Cup – A Battle in Epic XC Terrain

Monroe, Utah, will welcome the 2024 Paragliding World Cup from September 7-14, offering world-class flying over some of the most stunning and remote landscapes in the Rockies. Pilots will launch from iconic locations such as Monroe Peak, towering 2000m above the valley floor, and Mt. Edna, known for its breathtaking views at over 3500m

The challenging terrain features multiple launch sites, including Cove and Junction, allowing pilots to maximize the incredible XC potential with flights over 300km. Long tasks will push competitors to navigate the spectacular Utah scenery, marked by vast mountains, valleys, and autumn colors.

Pilots will launch from Monroe Peak and Mt. Edna, soaring over jagged peaks and vast, rugged terrain. The challenging cross-country conditions promise exciting and strategic flights in this amazing scenery.

Top international pilots, including Baptiste Lambert, recent Paragliding World Cup winners, and skilled locals, will battle it out in the Utah skies. Expect fierce competition, with Baptiste defending his title against American contenders like Cody Mittanck and Matt Henzi, who know the region’s nuances and strong female competitors, including Violeta Jimenez and Alexia Fischer.
