Strategic Moves and a Close Finish

With rain and overdevelopment in the forecast, Task 6 was set as a shorter 78.8 km route, featuring long legs designed to open up different options for the pilots. Early on, during the second leg, Ferdi Toy took a completely different line further west, allowing him to lead for a significant portion of the race. However, on the way back to the goal, the main gaggle managed to catch up, as Ferdi’s chosen line proved less favorable.

Theodoros Anagnos ultimately secured the win, while Violeta Jimenez once again finished as the top woman, maintaining her impressive 3rd place overall. The task was stopped at 16:01 due to rain on the course, over an hour after the first pilots had already arrived at goal.

With just one task remaining, the competition is still wide open.
